About DCSA

The Dacorum Chinese School is a non-profit making, non-political and non-religious voluntary organisation.  The aim of the school is to provide teaching of the Chinese official language, Mandarin, for the benefit of both the Chinese and the wider community of Dacorum.  The school has more than 100 students, aged from 5 to adult, ranging from Reception and Year 1 standard to GCSE, AS & A2, and adult Mandarin classes for anyone interested in listening to and speaking Chinese. Some students study for recreation or cultural reasons and to travel in China; others persue qualifications such as GCSE, AS and A level and ASSET languages for mature students.

From time to time the school organises activities of general interest. We have also organised and participated in many cultural events to promote Chinese culture such as the Chinese New Year Celebration and multi-cultural events.

The school is a member of the Community Action Dacorum, Communities Together Forum, Hertfordshire Minority Ethnic Communities Education Forum and the U.K. Association for the Promotion of Chinese Education.
